About Us
We started Pier Web Design in 2008. In fact, we had been designing websites long before that; specifically running our own successful e-commerce website that we began in 2001. But a chance meeting with an old friend who wanted a website for their own business, lead us to think maybe we should open our doors up to more people.
And from there, we began taking on more new website design projects and helping others with their own web site issues. Working only a pebbles throw from Bournemouth beach, the 'Pier' name stuck; and although we've moved a little further from the sea front, we've continued to design websites and provide internet services ever since.
There's little point in me making out we're a huge team. Hopefully we'll meet you soon enough and you'll see its just myself and Rob. But that doesn't mean you get any less of a service. We're careful to only take on a limited number of new projects each month, so we can devote all our attention on your requirements. It will usually be myself you speak to or email, while Rob gets on with the technical stuff, transforming your ideas into a great looking website.
One thing we have always been conscious of, is that are an almost unlimited number of website design companies out there waiting to impress you with plush offices, gimmicky slogans and posh coffee. Of course, all that will come at a cost too. We play it rather more simply; you wont find us talking jargon. We'll listen to what you want, and tell you how we can make it work. If we can.
But most of all, because we continue to run a varied range of websites between us, we can share our experiences with you. From helping you decide on a domain name through to making sure your website has the best chance of being found when someone searches for it on Google.
We're lucky enough to gain many new customers through recommendations from previous clients. But I know that will not always be the way, and if you would like to find out more about us or have any further questions, please get in touch.
We look forward to working with you soon.
All the best, Rob and Dan.
